English Department Faculty Volunteers at Ronald McDonald House
On August 27, members of the English Department of Miskolc University spent their morning volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House, an organization that provides a comfortable place for families to stay close to their hospitalized children during difficult times.
We took part in a charity cooking event, where we prepared and served meals for the parents of children receiving treatment at the County Hospital. The menu included garlic soup with toasted garlic butter bread, spaghetti Bolognese, and a fresh salad.
We had a great time cooking together and felt good about helping the families. We enjoyed the experience so much that we’re encouraging other faculty members and students at the university to join in for future volunteer events.
It was a fun and rewarding way to come together as a community and make a difference!
