We are happy to announce that there will be two optional (szabadon választható) classes in German language available for you in the spring semester!
The first class is intended for beginners – this is good for you if “Guten Tag” is the extent of your vocabulary – and false beginners – you learned some before, but you know that you need to go over the basics again (A2, A1 level). The Neptun code is BTGER101SZV. The teacher is Dr. Paksy Tünde (German Department, firstname.lastname@example.org).
The other class is intended for lower-intermediate learners (B1 level). The Neptun code is BTGER103SZV. The teacher is Dr. Bikics Gabriella (German Department, email@example.com).
The day and time is not yet fixed. If you are interested, please come to a meeting to discuss times: Wednesday, Feb. 12th, 9:30, Building A/6, Room 26. Feel free to contact the teachers if you have any questions.
This is a great chance to learn German – on campus, for no extra charge – and also get credits for it (2 credits/semester). If you are a first-year student thinking of maybe doing the German minor, this is a great way to prepare. If you are considering doing the MA in Translating and Interpreting, remember that the language combination taught here is Hungarian-English-German, and your German must be at B2 level or higher to be admitted. And if you are simply interested in taking up a new language or maintaining your level in German, please join! It’s fun to study with fellow language majors!
