The English project competition 2023 was organised on the 13th December, with the participation of  seven teams of three students from six schools of the region. We invited the teams to offer a teen tour of their regions by showing cool sights, places and activities that might attract visitors of their own generation. The teams were asked to work out a content plan beforehand but had to decide whether to make a TV report, a PPT/Jamboard presentation or a poster with their ideas. The jury were truly amazed not only by the creative ideas the competitors outlined, but also by their excellent English and presentations skills.

The competitors received points which they can validate when applying to the University of Miskolc and prizes offered by Oxford University Press.

The first place was taken by the team of Herman Ottó Secondary Grammar School, Miskolc (Hengsperger Anna Éva, Tóth Noémi Kiara and Jakab Levente Vazul) with their TV report on Miskolc hideouts. 

The team of Mezőkövesdi Szent László Secondary Grammar School (Varga Gréta Petra, Valkó Viola and Vasas Ádám) took the second place with their TV report on Matyó traditions.

The third place was awarded to the team of Sárospataki Árpád Vezér Secondary Grammar School (Kecskés Emma, Kocsis Jázmin and Remeczki Liliána) for their poster entitled "Off the grid".
