The English project competition 2025
The English project competition 2025 was held on the 11th December 2025 with students from nine schools from around the region participating in fifteen teams of three students.
This year’s competition focused on the world of influencers. Teams were asked to introduce influencers who represent causes they find important in ways that appeal to generation Z. Competitors were also tasked to create a video representing their own cause, which they discussed in detail with the moderators during the competition.
As always, the jury were amazed by the creativity and thought-provoking ideas showcased by the students and also by the excellent English they demonstrated during the interviews.
The competitors received points which they can validate when applying to the University of Miskolc.
1st place: Cseri Laura, Herperger Dóra and Pásztor Jázmin from Herman Ottó Secondary Grammar School, Miskolc (Teacher: Szakácsné Ruscsák Ágnes)
2nd place: Balogh Ádám, Szlávik Levente and Vaskó Krisztián György from Szerencsi SZC Tiszaújvárosi Brassai Sámuel Secondary Technical and Vocational School, Tiszaújváros (Teacher: Veres Attila)
3rd place: Béres Julianna, Simárszki Laura and Varga Boglárka from Fényi Gyula Jesuite Secondary Grammar School, Miskolc (Teachers: Dr. Demjén Péterné Rivasz-Tóth Kinga and Juhász-Nagy Andrea)
The jury’s special prize was awarded to Müller Tímea Klára, Benke Hunor István and Sándor Zoltán from Irinyi János Reformed Educational Centre, Kazincbarcika (Teacher: Varga Gergő)
