Join us for a talk on the practical aspects of translation, presented by a professional translator. The session will cover key principles, techniques, and the linguistic and cultural factors involved in translating texts.

Dr. Barbora Vinczeová is a teacher and researcher in the Department of English and American Studies at Matej Bel University, Banská Bystrica, Slovakia. She has translated several books of various genres from children’s literature and popular science books to classic and contemporary novels by authors such as Emily and Charlotte Brontë, Ken Follett, Jane Austen, Lucy Foley, and others.

Dr. Vinczeová’s visit to Miskolc is supported by a CEEPUS mobility scholarship. She is a guest of the Institute of Modern Philology (ME BTK) and can be contacted via Robin Nagano (robin.nagano@uni-miskolc.hu)
