On November 27th our first Thanksgiving event was held. Three students, Vanessza Szabó, and two Stipendium Hungaricum students from Russia, Olga Gashenko and Lena Khusainova, participated in a short hike in Tapolca with Dr. Ruth Lévai, followed by educational games related to the Wampanoag culture and language, at the university library. The Wampanoag helped to save the lives of the settlers arriving from England, who were ill-prepared for the severe winters of New England. Pumpkin pie was also enjoyed by all thanks to the generosity of Viktória Láng. Dr. Anett Schaffer and her husband joined in for the games as well.
